In the USA, prostate cancer is the second –leading cause of cancer deaths in men, second to lung cancer. 1 in every 6 men will get prostate cancer sometime in their lifetime. With screening, 90% of cases can be detected early and be cured. (National Cancer Institute, National Prostate Cancer Coalition).
   
U –Test Prostate / PSA detects raised PSA levels in whole blood samples. The concentration of PSA in the blood sample is used as an aid in the screening and diagnosis of abnormal function including growths of the prostate. It is an aid for detecting prostate cancer in its earliest and most curable stages.
   
 
     
  Who should use the test?  
 
  • Do you have difficulty urinating? Do you have to get up at night? You may have a prostate problem.
  • Does your family have a history of prostate cancer? It is recommended to start testing at the age of 45 years and to repeat the test every 6 months.
  • Annual PSA testing for men over the age of 50 is highly recommended.

  Breast Aware – Breast Self Examination Pad  
     
 
 
U -Test Breast Aware is a Breast Self-Examination (BSE) pad that has been approved by the FDA for use as an aid in breast self-examination. This touch sensitive pad is made of two layers of silicone with a small amount of lubricant inside. It makes breast lumps easier to detect by reducing the amount of friction between the fingers and the breast skin. Your breast exam should be performed first with your bare hands and then with the U -Test Breast Aware pad.
   
Breast self-examination should be part of a women’s monthly health care routine and you should visit your doctor if you observe any breast changes. If you are over 40 or at a high risk for the disease, you should also have an annual mammogram and physical examination by a doctor.
